Online Permit Request

Submission of online request requires an applicant to complete an online form and pay an upfront fee (where applicable), upload plans and documents and complete the “Applicant Upload Task.”

For Building permit requests, please visit http://apps.miamigov.com/iBuildPortal/ to submit your request online.

For Right of Way permit request, please visit https://apps.miamigov.com/publicworks to submit your request online.

For Planning and Zoning special permit requests, please log-in or create an account and select from the available request types.

Invite Engineers, Architects, Contractors, or the Owner

The review process is a collaborative one that requires multiple actors to participate in the review process. The ePlan Review Permitting System allows the primary point of contact on an application to invite all pertinent persons into the electronic plan review process.

Submission of Plans & Documents

To begin the review process on a project, required plans and documents must be uploaded to the ePlan Review portal. To upload documents, please log-in or create an account and select “Manage my Existing Projects” from the landing page.

Note: All plans and non-drawing documents must comply with the City of Miami Standard Naming Convention Policy.

Monitor Application Progress

To track the progress of a request, please log-in and select “Manage my Existing Projects.” By searching the Project List, you will be able to locate the desired project to view comments and/or review status(es) of each discipline.

To re-submit revised plan pages or other documents, an applicant must receive a task from the ePlan Review Permitting System.
